PEPTO ABYSMAL
Pepto Abysmal is a liquid grunge band that combines lo-fi garage recording, with electronic dripping swamp sounds. The band wears all pink hazmat suits on stage and writes songs about dystopian society.
SANSUKUMI-KEN
Sansukumi-Ken is the name of an ancient Japanese form of Rock-Paper-Scissors that features a slug, a toad, and a snake. The snake eats the toad, the toad eats the slug, and the slug poisons the snake. This 3-piece math-y J-Rock Group has a quirky sound and tends to write lyrics about mundane slice-of-life moments. Before every show, the lead singer/guitarist and the drummer play Sansukumi-Ken on stage in front of the audience to determine who gets to choose the setlist for that show.
MÄLFORM CREATURE
The lead singer/violinist of this thrashy metal band has 2 personas - Formäl Creature and Mälform Creature. He wears a reversible mask with 2 faces. All of their songs start delicately with a mash-up of classical stings and light rock while the Formäl Creature persona is present. Each song is built around a drop where the singer turns his mask around and the shrieking vocals and high-speed drum beats kick in, creating a descent into malformed chaos.
